Uniform

All members of Star Patrol are required to use at least one of their available costume slots for a Star Patrol uniform. While it is a requirement all members of Star Patrol play in Super Group Mode at all times, it is not required to be in uniform at all times. Star Patrol members are encouraged to wear the uniform under most circumstances. The uniform should always to be used while teaming with other members of Star Patrol.

The Super Group colors are white and red. The color red used is in the 5th column of the 2nd row in the color chart. These colors should be used for all major costume parts, and must be used for the chest, legs/pants chest detail and mask. Optionally, a character may substitute the color black for white in their costume (and should also use the darker shade of red in the 4th column if doing so). The black & red costume represents a “special forces” division within Star Patrol.

All official Star Patrol uniforms must use Pattern 1 on the chest. The chest may use any style which permits use of the Pattern 1 pattern.

All official Star Patrol uniforms must use the Starshot pattern on the legs. The legs/pants may use any style which permits the use of the Starshot pattern. Optionally, female characters may place the Starshot pattern on a skirt which allows it, or on tights beneath a skirt (in either case, the skirt must use the official Star Patrol colors).

All official Star Patrol uniforms must use Star 4 as their chest detail.

Additionally, the style for gloves and boots should match (if possible). If the character wears a mask, any mask may be used; the Demise, Destruction and Ruin patterns are recommended. Belts and Shoulder options are completely at the player’s discretion. Gloves, Boots, Belts and Shoulder styles are not required for the uniform.

No part of a Star Patrol uniform may display the image of a skull.

It is recommended, but not required, that all uniforms use Masks with Hair or Full Masks, and Tights (Muscular or Smooth, for both chest and legs).

Trenchcoats, capes, wings, auras, etc are permitted for all characters and are more or less unrestricted. The “official” cape is the Starshot style.

You may use the following preset costumes as a starting point for your Star Patrol costumes. To download, right-click and select Save Link As… or Save Target As… and save the files inside the /costumes/ directory in your City of Heroes installation.
