Task Force Unity does not exist. An interagency task force, headed by the CIA, which monitors superhuman activity in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles? Maybe. But one with limitless resources, a private mercenary army, and a license to blackmail, threaten, extort or assassinate any super who might be of interest to the various NATO governments strains credibility.
And yet, rumors persist of this shadowy Task Force infiltrating power groups within the Rogue Isles, and heading off-the-record search and destroy missions on superpowered terrorists all over the world.
Could the tired old man the rumors call Unity White Control really be heading a cherry-picked team of killers, spies, and failed-prototype super soldiers on behalf of NATO governments? Do they really have “retired” MI6 and Mossad assassins on call for when the going gets tough? And what really happens when a team of men in dark suits grabs a supervillain from her lair and drags her down into the sewers beneath St. Martial?
((The dark counterpart to the Special Projects Division is Task Force Unity – a Malta-esque villain group of spies and assassins who keep tabs on the Rogue Isles on behalf of their respective spy agencies. Characters made specifically for the VG are usually named Unity <color> <designation>. Examples: Unity White Purser, Unity Red Omega, Unity Black Kilo.
